1.0 The Problem

Recurring financial reports built by hand from accounting exports take hours every week.

2.0 Claude's Job

A business owner built a WIP (work-in-progress) report generator with Claude Cowork. They feed it their QuickBooks file and open purchase order file, and it instantly creates the WIP reports. They say putting these reports together used to take 6-7 hours a week.

3.0 Caution

A report that used to take most of a day can now be instant, and also instantly wrong if the export is missing a job. Open one known job and see if the numbers match before you send the pack.

It is handy with folders of files. Open one result you already know is right before you trust the whole batch.

4.0Try the job

The original post did not include the exact wording they used. The story still shows the job. Describe your own version the way you would brief a new hire, and stay nearby while it works.
