1.0 The Problem
Sorting and labeling receipts for the accountant is boring, and skipping it means paying the accountant for extra hours.
2.0 Claude's Job
In a Scrimba video, the presenter demonstrates automating a monthly bookkeeping chore with Claude Cowork. The presenter gave it one prompt plus Norway's standard chart of accounts as a PDF; it built a skill that renames each receipt dropped into a folder as date_provider_expense-account and scheduled the job to run every Friday at 9AM. In the demo the test receipts came out correctly named.
3.0 Caution
The demo used test receipts and a chart of accounts. Your accountant's categories may not match the PDF you hand over. Check a handful of renamed files before you automate Friday morning.
It is handy with folders of files. Open one result you already know is right before you trust the whole batch.
4.0Try the job
The original post did not include the exact wording they used. The story still shows the job. Describe your own version the way you would brief a new hire, and stay nearby while it works.
