Find a forgotten file in Google Drive by describing it
Searching Drive only works if you remember the file name or exact words, and comparing two documents by eye takes time.
What the agent did
Anu Joy, who writes about Google apps for Android Police, kept losing files in Google Drive because she couldn't remember their names. She started tapping the Gemini button in Drive and describing what was inside instead, like a PDF with a price for a certain electrical part, and Gemini listed the matching files. She also picked two documents as sources and asked Gemini to compare them, and it pointed out how they differed without her opening either one.
What the owner still checks
Gemini in Drive depends on your Google account and plan, so the button may not appear for everyone. Open the file it finds before you act on a number, especially a price or a date.
Gemini can read your open tabs and Google files when you allow it. Turn that off around banking or private pages, and open the source before you trust an answer.

Starter prompt written by Agents 101. This was written for this guide. It is not a quote from the original post. Change the names, amounts, and accounts so they match you before you send it.
Find the file in my Google Drive that [describe what's inside, for example: lists the price for the part I ordered last spring]. Tell me the file name, where it is, and the line that matches. Then compare it with [second file] and list the differences in a short table: item, what file one says, what file two says.
