Research competitors and customers before you write or sell
A solo founder has no research team, and paid research tools and assistants add up fast.
What the agent did
Maxime Le Morillon, who runs a one-person business, uses Perplexity as his main research tool. Before writing an article he asks for the top-ranking pieces on the topic and what they leave out. For competitors he runs its longer Deep Research mode and saves the report. To understand buyers, he points it at Reddit and forum posts so he can read real complaints in customers' own words. Before publishing any statistic, he asks it to find the original source and to say so when it can't.
What the owner still checks
He says the longer reports sometimes make up details about private companies' finances. Click the citations before you repeat a number, and treat anything without a source as a guess.
The value is in the links under each answer. Click a couple before you repeat a fact or a number.

I run [type of business]. Research [competitor] and give me: what they charge, what they've launched in the last six months, how often they post, and three common complaints from real customers. Link a source for every point. Then check this claim I want to use: "[claim]". Find the original source, and if you can't, mark it unverified.
